A New Mom’s Guide to Mother’s Day in Los Angeles
As a new mom I am firmly behind the idea of making Mother’s Day EVERY DAY, but seasoned moms have told me otherwise. Here are few ways to celebrate ALL maternal figures in your life no matter the stage with the New Mom’s Guide to Mother’s Day in Lost Angeles.
Relaxation with your Little One
Although this seems like an oxymoron to me, Jessica Biel doesn’t think so! Her restaurant Au Fudge is hosting a special spa themed day for moms and kids to enjoy together. Tickets are $75 for the mamas, $40 for the kiddos, and include 1.5 hours of mini makeovers, petit pedicures, and more.
Mother’s Day to Go
Esters Wine Shop & Bar in Santa Monica is your one stop shop for all things mom! Pick up a fully customizable Mother’s Day Gift Basket ($65-100) with your choice of chocolates, artisanal food items, and mini flower bunches created by local florist Krystal Chang.
Wined and Dined
Also available at Esters Wine Shop & Bar is their regular Sunday Wine Tasting from 3-5 p.m. on the outdoor patio. The price is just $25 per person for a wine flight, snacks and a 10% discount for everything in the shop.
Baby Bonus: Kids are welcome to accompany parents participating in the tasting on the patio.
Bring on the Brunches
Fig & Olive Melrose Place will be serving a 3-course brunch ($40) with menu highlights such as Petite Burrata & Asparagus and the ever popular Rosemary Lamb. Desserts are a choice of the Strawberry Vacherin or my favorite, the Chocolate Pot de Creme.
Patina in Downtown Los Angeles will be open especially for mom from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM with a 3-course menu for $59. Be sure to order a signature cocktail to receive an exclusive keepsake recipe from Chef Paul Lee.
Next, Geoffrey’s in Malibu is serving a 3-course brunch ($77) with highlights like the Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops with Foie Gras Risotto. Brunch lovers can also delight in an Eggs Benedict and Quiche Lorraine. The restaurant is also offering a 3-course dinner for the same price, but it’s hard to turn down this view during daylight.
Champagne for Everyone!
Free champagne for all! Little Door in West Hollywood and The Palm Restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles will be doling out the bubbly to moms and their adult friends! So grab any special woman in your life and toast to moms everywhere! Hey we all have one 🙂
