Saved by the Brunch
If you’re a child of the 80s, who grew up watching TV in the 90s, then you probably always felt you were a student at Bayside High. Now there’s a brunch for that!, Saved by the Max!
Saved by The Max is the Chicago restaurant pop-up from Zack Eastman, Steve Harris, and Derek Berry who after taking in a record number of guests in the Windy City decided to bring Saved by the Bell back to Bayside itself! Taking over a space in a West Hollywood shopping mall, they have been serving dinner since January of this year and just this past weekend added brunch to the class syllabus!
Start Here
Guests begin by purchasing tickets to dine at The Max or Mr. Belding’s Office. The food is courtesy of Michelin starred Chef Brian Fisher (Entente) and for $40 per person you receive an appetizer and a entrée; or you can substitute in a brunch cocktail.
Why not start your meal off with some AC Sliders or one of Spano’s Seasonal Salads? Hot entrée items include Beat Valley Buttermilk Pancakes; The Kelly Kapowski Monte Cristo sandwich with Niman Ranch prosciutto and Gruyere cheese; and my personal favorite, Tori’s Fried Chicken featuring Korean fried chicken over a coconut waffle.
Cocktails
The cocktail list comes from The Attic (a little trivia in there for you :)) and during brunch, they have specials we can all get “soooo excited” about! Try a B Ba B Ba Baloody Mary ($13) with some Gooo Bayside House Mix, or an I’m So Scared with Groundwork cold brew, spiced cream of coconut, Martel Cognac, Caffe Borghetti, and Fernet Branca ($14).
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for celebrity drop-ins from some of your favorite cast members!
