4 Ways to Spend July 4th and one free event you won’t believe!
I don’t know about you, but nothing sucks up my patriotic spirit more than a long line! Here are 4 ways to spend July 4th in L.A. where you are guaranteed a spot plus one freebie that I couldn’t believe!
1. Party like its 1940!
Clifton’s in Downtown Los Angeles will be celebrating the 4th of July with a tribute to the 1940’s and a full scale USO show featuring The Andrew Sisters. The events will take place on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd from 7-10 p.m. and tickets are $10 a person or free for military.
2. BBQ at home…with help 🙂
Pre-order your brisket and biscuits from Barrel & Ashes in Sherman Oaks. Pick-up is all day on the 4th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and best of all you can wait till the last minute to place your order as they are accepting until July 2nd.
3. Battle of the Bowls
This year The Hollywood Bowl will be celebrating with the music of Chicago along with a fireworks show July 2nd through the 4th at 7:30 p.m. Concert-goers are welcome to bring their own food and alcohol, or you can make it the ultimate night out with a reservation at The Wine Bar by A.O.C. before the show.
Baby Bonus: For the concert, babies are free and kids under 12 are half off!
If you’re looking for something a little more casual, consider The Rosebowl in Pasadena for an entire day of family fun with Americafest! Parking lots open at 9 a.m to allow for all-day tailgating until the fireworks show at 9 p.m. In between there will be a festival for kids along with not one, but TWO motocross presentations. Not a fan off motorcycle shows?…There is also a Beatles tribute band!!
Baby Bonus: Kids under 2 are free for reserved tickets ($25) and under 5 are free for general ($13).
4. Beachside BBQ
The fireworks in Marina del Rey kick off at 9 PM and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. the Beachside restaurant at the Jamaica Bay Inn in Marina del Rey will be offering a FREE beachfront lawn BBQ with hot dogs and music even for non-hotel guests! Starting at 5 p.m. you can order á la carte options as well from their special July 4th menu.
Baby Bonus: If adults are free that means your kids are free too! Bust out the sunblock and hit the beach!
