5 Reasons to DineL.A. this Summer Updated!
DineL.A. Restaurant Week is back for the summer session and is going on now until July 31st, 2016. This is the last week you can take advantage of prix-fixe style dining at L.A.’s most popular eateries for as little as $15 for lunch and $29 for dinner.
If you missed my article two weeks ago please enjoy the newly updated 5 reasons why there has never been a better time to DineL.A. this summer!
5. Dine plus Wine!
Thai-Fijian-Indian fusion restaurant E.P. & L.P. Restaurant is offering their 3-course dinner menu for $49 inclusive of a glass of house wine. Menu highlights include Lou Dogg’s Crispy Skin Chicken to start and a Roasted Vegetable Curry as a second dish. Both these items actually live on the Larger section of the E.P. Asian Eating House menu so you’re getting a great deal! Go without the kids and make it a night out by visiting the L.P. Rooftop Bar‘s superb view of the West Hollywood skyline following your meal.
4. A $15 lunch could get you your next $1500 vacation
DineL.A. is partnered with American Airlines this summer and a simple #DineSnapWin tag on your photos could get you 100,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles (average cost $2950).
3. Keeping the faith at Faith & Flower
Although not a newcomer to DineL.A., there has never been a better reason to revisit Faith & Flower‘s DTLA dining room. Their 3-course lunch is only $25 and includes menu staples like Deviled Jidori Eggs and Kanpachi Ceviche to start followed by their famous Handmade Pappardelle as a main. Dessert is a choice of Cookie Board (regularly $13) or Strawberry Cake so be sure to bring a friend and have both!
2. The Fritzi $15!
Redbird chef Neal Fraser’s Fritzi Downtown is serving up what might be the best lunch deal for DineL.A. Start off healthy with a Kale Salad and then mess it all up with a Fritzi Burger dressed in fontina fondue, calabrese relish, and thousand island dressing; a Fritzi Potato Waffle side; and then finish it all off with a Summer Camp Chocolate Chip Cookie or a Raspberry Red Velvet Cakewich. Buying all these menu items outright regularly costs almost $30!
1. Stirring up Trouble at Pot
Anyone who’s read this blog more than twice knows I’m a big fan of the happy hour deal. So there’s nothing more exciting in my mind than the opportunity to combine a $29 3-course dinner at Roy Choi’s Pot with an $8 Mule from The Pot Lobby Bar. Happy hour begins at 2:30 p.m. and runs until 8 so you can choose to have your drinks before, after, or both! As far as your perfect meal at this Koreatown hot spot goes, start with the Steamed Dumplings before drowning yourself in an Old School Pot made with marinated ribeye bulgogi, noodles, kimchi, and scallions. Your tastebuds will explode after this one! For dessert I highly recommend the Ice Cream Sliders inside toasted brioche buns. But for a taste of childhood order the Fruity Pebbles Snow Ice with mochi, condensed milk, red bean, and sweet treats. It tastes exactly like those last bites of Fruity Pebbles before going off to school.
