Burbank
Castaway
If you haven’t been to Castaway since the 90s, then get ready to set sail! The restaurant’s 2018 upgrade includes a built-in tap system in the wraparound bar offering you a selection of beers, eight different wines and four cocktails on tap. Cleverly called “Tappy Hour”, you can head in Monday to Friday from 4 -6 p.m., for $3 off all tap beers, cocktails, and wines.
Culver City
Wildcraft
Joining my elusive daily happy hour list is Wildcraft in Culver City. Enjoy happy hour pricing every day from 5-7 pm and $1 oysters on Wednesdays at this indoor/outdoor Northern Italian pizza bar.
Downtown Los Angeles
Fry Madness
Head to Fry Madness on Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles for ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR on Monday and Tuesday from 11 AM-1 AM! Draft Beers are $4; Margaritas are $6; and most importantly the Specialty Fries are only $10! Must have’s include the Buffalo Chicken Fries; Snow Crab Fries (regularly $18!); and some Nutella Fries for a sweet and savory finish!
Perch
A happy hour with a view is always perched on the top of my list. Enjoy a $7 cocktail while taking in sone of the best views in the city. Apéritif Hour takes place Monday-Friday from 4-6 PM and features well priced cocktails and French favorites like L’Assiette de Formage (cheese plate) for $10.
East Hollywood/Hollywood
L’ Antica Pizzeria Da Michele
I can’t say enough good things about this Hollywood Hotspot. Their pizza made my Best Bites of 2019 List, and as the oldest pizzeria in Naples you can only expect greatness!
Well now they’ve launched an Aperitvo Hour every weekday from 3-5 PM where you can get $10 Cocktails; $5 Beers; and an array of food from their Pizza Margherita ($17) and Cavatelli Pasta ($10) to Fries ($6) and Meatballs ($9) at a discount.
The Virgil
If you’re looking for a late night, adults only happy hour in a space that doubles as a comedy club and 90s dance party palace then The Virgil on Santa Monica Blvd is your new go to. Happy hour runs from 7-9 pm Monday through Friday and 7 pm-MIDNIGHT on Tuesday nights. $5 beers and $6 wines and wells are sure to keep your tab open longer and the entertainment will cost you $5 max!
Glendale
Bourbon Steak
If you’re looking for an easy and satisfying happy hour experience, then Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak at the Americana Mall should be on your list.
Valet parking is FREE when you dine here, so just pull up to the front like a boss who knows what’s up! Happy hour runs from 4:30-7PM every day and starts at 3 PM on Sunday. My must-have cocktail is the Manhattan for just $7 or one of the newer additions, the Monkey Gland, made with Beefeater’s gin, grenadine, orange, and absinthe ($7).
All Lounge Snacks are half off, Burgers are only $14, and Butchers Cuts are $22! Never a better time to have an early steak dinner with a side of Ahi Tuna Poppers ($8).
Mid-City
Commerson
Wondering where you can get a Wagyu for under $20 in this city? Commerson on La Brea offers a fantastic happy hour Tuesday to Saturday from 5-7 PM and Sunday from 5 PM to close that goes way beyond drinks!
The Denver Cut Australian Wagyu served with frites is $15 or you can get a Spaghetti Bolognese for just $8. Specialty cocktails like the Easy Fire made with tequila, yellow chartreuse, and lemon are $8, while wines are $7, and beers are $2 off!
Northeast Los Angeles
Cha Cha Lounge
Although you might not want to go the bathroom here, the Cha Cha Lounge offers some of the lowest price happy hour specials in town every day from 5-9 pm with $3 well drinks and draft tecate, and $4 frozen margarita specials on Mondays until midnight! The vibe can best be described as seedy bar charm and promises some authentically good fun.
Otoño
Otoño in Highland Park offers Siesta Hour at the bar and patio only. The stars of the show are the food deals including $9 Pan con Tomate, $10 Bocadillo (sandwiches), and $8 Boquerones (white anchovies). Gin Cocktails are $14 while an Estrella Damm Lager is just $5.
When to visit: Happy Hour runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Baby Bonus: If you’re looking to sit near the bar, there is a little nook at the front of the bar area where you can sit with your little one. There’s only one though so get there early! Otherwise head to that post-pandemic patio.
The Morrison
Although a little on the dive-ier side, The Morrison in Atwater Village offers a happy hour every day from 3 to 7 p.m. Drink highlights include Craft Beers for just $6 and classy Cocktails like the Bee’s Butt made with bourbon, honey syrup, and lemon for $8. Everything on the Happy Hour food menu is just $9 including a Smash Burger, Red Hot Morrison Wings, a crisp Blvd Salad with goat cheese, and 2 Churros with Ice Cream to finish it all off.
They also now have locations in Burbank and Huntington Beach.
When to visit: Daily Happy Hour takes place from Noon to 6 p.m.
Baby Bonus:There is so much to look at in this place that you’re child won’t want to leave! And they also offer a kids menu, so they are more than welcome.
Pasadena
Bone Kettle
Just long enough to suck on the marrow of life, Bone Kettle offers a literal happy hour EVERY DAY from 5-6 PM! Craft Beers on Tap, House Wine, and Hot Sake are all just $7 and you can pair that with Southeast Asian style small plates from Executive Chef Erwin Tjahyadi.
Expect fresh Oysters; Chicken Wings with fried citrus-brined Petaluma free-range chicken and charred lime; and of course the famous Oxtail Dumplings with seasonal mushrooms, leeks and San Bai Su.
The Raymond 1886
50% off food and $7 Daily Craft Cocktails have me constantly returning to this craftsman house! Mixologist Cameron Masden is a true artist and paired with the culinary delights of Chef Jon Hung there’s a chance you might not ever leave the lounge! While I’ll always recommend the cocktail of the day, select wines are only $5 and select beers are $4! Go to menu items include the Suckling Pig Carnitas Tacos with white onions and salsa verde and Steamed Mussels served with Angry Lady sauce and Chinese sausage.
Happy Hour takes place Tuesday to Friday from 4-7 PM.
Santa Monica
Barkowski
Did you know there is a bar in Santa Monica that was built to be an homage to the poet Charles Bukowski and it has a daily happy hour?!! Well turns out there’s a bar for everyone. If you want to impress the writer/beer drinker in your life, bring them here from 5pm-7pm to get $2 off your Schlitz, one of Bukowski’s favorites.
Citrin
Citrin from Chef Josiah Citrin is part of the Michelin-starred Mélisse space and offers an a-la-carte menu for those who want the taste of Mélisse without the tasting menu. Well now they are taking it one step further with an Evening Glass Off Happy Hour menu.
Available at the bar only, you can enjoy a Crudo of Japanese Fish ($8), Sweet Corn Agnolotti ($14) and a Mélisse Burger that’s not on the regular menu ($13).
ALL Cocktails like the Night Flight below are $11, select Wines by the Glass are available for for $10, and select Beers are available for $7.50.
When to go: Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Lunetta All Day
Although I wish it was ALL DAY, Monday to Friday from 4:00-6:30 PM you can end your day with happy hour at Lunetta All Day. $8 cocktails, $7 wines, and specialty priced bites like Rock Shrimp Ceviche with fresh guacamole and house-made chips from Chef Raphael Lunetta and Executive Chef Emilio Cuyuch await you after a long day.
Sherman Oaks
Public School 818
This gastropub serves up $8 Specialty Cocktails like a Crushed Velvet with vodka, berries, and ginger beer among others. Sangria is $5 and Well Cocktails are only $4! You can also enjoy $5 Wine and $3 off all Draft Beer. On the dining side there’s Bar Bites like Bacon Cheddar Tots ($6.50) and PS Smash Beef Sliders to keep you going ($8.50). Happy Hour takes place Monday to Friday only from 3 to 6 p.m.
West Hollywood
Gracias Madre
Gracias Madre in West Hollywood offers a sweeping indoor/outdoor space for your vegan dining! Enjoy Happy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. weekdays where you’ll savor $8 Purista Margaritas and bites like Nachos and Al Pastor Tacos for the same price. Wines are $7 while Beer is just $5.
Bacari W. 3rd
One of the newest locations in the Bacari restaurant family (although I’m partial to the Glendale) is quickly becoming your must visit patio!
Monday to Friday from 5-7 PM, enjoy $2 off all delicious Mediterranean inspired small plates. Dishes like the Salatim Spread of vegan pate, green chickpea hummus, hazelnut beet muhammara, and freshly baked pita will pair nicely with that discounted glass of beer, wine, or sangria! Also available is a 90-minute open bar special for just $25 where you will never see the bottom of that glass!
If you’re more of a night owl, then visit late-night happy hour EVERY NIGHT from 10 PM-Close.
