The Best Restaurants for Father’s Day in Los Angeles

Your search for the best restaurants for Father’s Day in Los Angeles begins and ends here! Get your Dad right based on his type!

Padre Mio

Spanish-inspired Bar Moruno in Silverlake specializes in Small Plates, Gin-centric Cocktails, Spanish wines, and large dishes like Whole Grilled Orata and a Half Rotisserie Chicken made over a rip-roaring open flame. Channel dad’s inner caveman with the special Father’s Day Sunday Roast, which will be a Wood Grilled Bone-in Ribeye with Potato Gratin and Caesar Salad. The price? Just $75 for two or even three guests!

For the Man of the Hour

For decades, Mastro’s Beverly Hills has been one of the premier destinations if you want to impress someone, so it’s the perfect choice for the man you’ve been trying to impress all your life. There’s just something magical about the combination of Steak and a sophisticated price tag.

Brand new on the menu and perfect for Papa is the Violet Nights whiskey cocktail. It’s like an Old Fashioned but with the addition of Combier Crème de Violette. It’s crafted with The Beverly High Rye, a rye and bourbon blend bottled at 96 Proof and aged in American oak with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.

It’s also a great gift idea if you want to present Dad with something he can take home with him after dinner. The bottle is gorgeous, and it’s a Los Angeles-based brand. They also plant a tree for every bottle sold, so you save the planet with every sip. Purchase directly from their website or through Reservebar ($59.99-$62.99).

Mastros is open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m.

Salty Dog Dad

To celebrate Father’s Day, Castaway in Burbank will offer a Four-Course Brunch or a Seasonal Dinner to go with those panorama Valley views.

During Brunch, you can choose between Steak & Eggs and Fried Chicken & Waffles, among other dishes.  Bottomless Specialty Mimosas like Cucumber Mint are just a $30 add-on.

Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner is from 5 to 9 p.m. Brunch is priced at $96 for adults and $35 for children, while dinner is a la carte.

Party Papi

It’s always a party at Yucatán-inspired KA’TEEN in Hollywood, where the vibe in the outdoor patio makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Specialty items from Chef Wes Avila during Brunch and Lunch on Sunday include a Mole and Steak entree with crispy leeks, and a Daddy wants Tepache cocktail made with fermented pineapple. The regular menu will also be available.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Father’s Day. Reserve here.

The Wandering Woodsman

Pretend it’s just you, him, and the trees with Brunch on the patio at The Raymond 1886 in Pasadena.

Begin your meal with Carrot Cake Bread with whipped honey maple butter or a sweet Cinnamon Roll.

Next, explode your tastebuds with exciting twists on your favorites, like Short Rib Tacos or Asparagus with Eggs and Prosciutto.

Lastly, wash it down with an 1886 Bloody Mary/Maria or the refreshing Ramos Gin Fizz with fresh citrus, cream, egg white, orange-flower water, and soda.

Brunch is available all weekend from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If your pop is more of a night owl, dinner starts at 4:00 p.m.

Perfect for Mon Père

Just like the old man himself, Petit Trois is the kind of French restaurant that will never let us down, despite its many years on the job.

Choose between L’Original location in Hollywood or the larger Le Valley and treat Père to a Big Mec or Filet aux Poivres if you’re really feeling fancy.

Le Valley will be open for Brunch on Father’s Day beginning as early as 8 a.m. if you’re feeling like Mec Muffins instead. L’ Original is open for lunch and dinner only from Noon to 10 p.m. Reservations are a must.

Whiskey Wizard

If your Dad’s love for the brown sauce almost surpasses his love for his children, skip the fancy restaurant and go straight to the source.

Forman’s Whiskey Tavern in Toluca Lake has more Bourbon and Rye on the menu than seems humanly possible. Best of all, it’s alphabetized. Reservations aren’t necessary for groups under six people, and children are allowed – heck, they even have their own menu. So this is an excellent spot if you forget to make plans but still want to make it look like you did.

Hours on Sunday are Noon to 11 p.m.

Next on the list is the classic Tam O’ Shanter in Los Feliz, where Dadaidh can enjoy over 200 sips from the Great Wall O’Scotch. The “Tam” has been operating for just over 100 years, so it’s a real piece of history – just like Dad 🙂

Bar seating is always open, but reservations are available as well if the Prime Rib is calling to you. Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Brunch and 4 to 9 p.m. for dinner and drinks.
