Burgers, Bourbon, & Brand New Bites!
This week in history brought us the birth of Madonna in 1958, the death of Elvis in 1977, the Berlin Wall construction in 1961 , and now in 2016 a lot of new restaurant news!
New Restaurant Alert: C’est La Vie
Just as quickly as the sign went up, Montrose spot C’est La Vie is open for business. Taking over the much beloved neighborhood Glendale gourmand restaurant Bashan, new owners Pamela Perkins and Christine Moore have big shoes to fill. Which apparently they are loading up with handcrafted pastries, coffee, sandwiches, and dinner items.
Open from 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, and 8 AM to 4 PM on Sundays.

Don’t Keep this One Under Lock & Key
Perfect for moms and hipsters on the go, Lock & Key in Koreatown has your next meal ready! The concept is called “Lock Box” in which customers order from the front window of this normally nighttime spot. Created by Chef Jose Reyes the food is best described as “elevated gastropub style food that is easy for hungry customers to pick up.” Unfortunately the craft cocktails will have to be saved for those customers dining in.
The Lock Box is open everyday but Monday beginning at 5 PM.
