The Story Behind Disney on Ice presents Magic in the Stars

Disney on Ice presents Magic in the Stars is a tale both old and new; linking the most popular characters of today’s Disney films with the beloved ones from decades past. The story begins with a wish upon a star, the first, if you may recall, that came from little Jiminy Cricket from the 1940s film Pinocchio.

One good wish deserves another as you journey to Rosas, the kingdom of wishes, where Academy Award®- winning actress Ariana DeBose will absolutely astound you with her performance of “This Wish.”

Ready to journey “into the unknown?” Well, Elsa and Anna from Frozen 2 are set for an adventure with you and they’ll be meeting some new friends along the way; think Lightning McQueen and Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear. Personally, I can’t wait to see that spaceman on skates!

The dream of a wish come true continues with Tiana and her restaurant from The Princess and the Frog and Aladdin discovering the cave of wonders.

The show ends with a look inside the wishes of the entire audience and a reminder that everyone is capable of making their own dreams come true.

What Makes Magic in the Stars the Best Show on Ice?

Disney on Ice presents Magic in the Stars is stacked with 56 show-stopping characters – more than any other Disney on Ice show ever before! You’ll find icons like Snow White and Belle skating along with Raya and Asha, who are debuting brand new songs from Raya and the Last Dragon and Wish, respectively. The description above barely scratches the surface!

The ice skating is spectacular, and the acrobatics are out of this world. With dazzling costumes and brand-new special effects, there’s always something to catch even the littlest wandering eyes in the audience.
