Easter Hoppenings in Los Angeles
There are million spots in LA for a festive brunch, but only a few to have a really hopping good time. Here is my list of the not to be missed easter hoppenings along the bunny trail this year.
Peter Rabbit & Bloody Mary
The Tuck Room Tavern in Westwood will be offering its signature Brunch Box, which is an entrée paired with a beverage for $19.99, or a bottomless beverage for $10.00 more! Guests can also expect to enjoy their ultimate Bloody Mary Bar and an appearance from the Hipster Bunny during brunch service on Sunday, April 16 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
I recommend starting off with some Smoked Salmon Popovers or Monkey Bread Babka before making your visit to the Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar for your choice of pescatarian-style (made with clam juice) or carnivore-style (with beef stock). Traditional bloodies will also be served.
Just don’t let that hipster bunny get too close to your cocktail.
Your Lapin Lunch
Kendall’s Brasserie in Downtown Los Angeles is your destination if you’re looking for a 3 course prix-fixe under $50 that still borders on decadence. Begin with a choice of 9 starters including Steak Tartare & Kendall’s Charcuterie Board. Entree choices vary from French standards like their Croque Madame and brunch favorites like Short Rib Hash crafted with Yukon gold potatoes, two sunny farm eggs, bloomsdale spinach, and creamy horseradish. Dessert is a choice between a Tropical Exotic Mousse Sphere and a Meyer Lemon Olive Cake, so even the smallest of families can have them all :). Easter brunch runs from 10:30 AM-3 PM with a la carte service commencing after that.
Bourbon Bunnies
Enjoy a 3 course prix-fixe for $65 with chef specials like Michael Mina’s signature Lobster Pot Pie, Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Elvis French Toast. Pair that with a table-side Bloody Mary Cart and be prepared to be carted out yourself from Bourbon Steak in Glendale on Sunday April 16th 2017 from 12-2:30 PM.
An Adult Easter basket
Why should kids have all the fun?! Award-winning chocolatier Valerie Gordon of Los Angeles’ Valerie Confections has added a little more sparkle to this holiday with hand-crafted Golden Eggs topped with 23-karat edible gold leaf and whimsical “Eat Me” Earl Grey truffles. Pick up something for the whole family and go with the Fun Easter Basket ($65) which includes a White Chocolate & Raspberry Bunny Tableau Bar, Eat Me Box, Jelly Beans, Sugar Cookies, and a solid Darkened Milk Chocolate Bunny. All of these items can be ordered online or purchased at one of her three LA locations.
