Eataly’s lines got you down, head to Eastown this weekend!
If you have been crazy enough to brave the lines of Eataly LA during their first month of business you know how frustrating it can be to wait in line for 25 minutes for a slice of pizza – only to find out you’ve been waiting in the wrong line!
Now if you’re in the mood for some food market fun without all the fuss, then head to Feastown at Eastown! The event takes place every other Saturday in Hollywood at the Eastown residential property located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd from 1-6 PM and includes free 2 hour parking.
That makes this the perfect event to take your kids to, or grab a bite at when you’re leaving that Hamilton matinee show at the Pantages Theater and all you’ve got left to your name is $10.
Vendors change bi-monthly but what they all have in common is a spirit of ambition, as many of them are still up-and-coming in the food world. The event also features performances by students at the Los Angeles College of Music and benefits The Center at Blessed Sacrament Church.
I was blown away by the passion and familial pride exhibited at the Helados Pops Ice Cream stand, while the level of invention at Norigami Tacos might make it hard to eat a traditional hand roll ever again. Craving a made to order personal lasagna or a cup of flavored crispy chicken skins?! Yes you can find it all here!
The next Feastown is taking place this Saturday December 2nd! Expect culinary delights from BOLO which specializes in Hong Kong pineapple butter buns that are on steroids; Pooja’s Cuisine of India specializing in vegan and veggie Indian; and The Grilled Cheese Truck specializing in…you guessed it!
Happy Feasting!!
