Eatdrinkla to Palm Springs
Palm Springs is an absolutely delicious retreat that is located only about an hour and a half away from Los Angeles!
Here is a must-do list from my first trip! You’ll feel like you’re 21 again 🙂
1. Check out Desert Hills Premium Outlets.
This isn’t your run of the mill outlet mall. It’s got stores like Gucci, Prada, DVF, YSL, and more—all at discounted prices. Plus making a stop here makes your drive from LA seem even shorter.

2. Stop for lunch at The Sandwich Shop
This place is amaze-balls! They specialize in no frills sandwiches, and the price is just right. Make sure you don’t skimp on the sauces—choice of secret or bomb sauce! I recommend a little of both for twice the magic.

3. Check into a boutique Hotel: My recommendation: Los Arboles Hotel
This laid back hotel offers rooms with a cottage hacienda feel and has a small, friendly staff. It’s the kind of place where you have to fend for yourself though, so if you’re looking for 24 hour service then you might do better checking into The Viceroy.

4. Start Drinking!
I started to notice that other than hanging out by the pool, the big activities in Palm Springs involve drinking and performing karaoke…while drinking. Prepare yourself for slightly off-key renditions of “Before he cheats” sung by Bachelorette parties. (Am I the only person that finds that to be a slightly strange song choice? )
If you’re looking for a fun British pub then make sure you check out Hair of the Dog. It’s the only British Pub in Palm Springs and after 5 minutes you’ll feel like you’re one of the blokes.
My favorite thing about Palm Springs is that you can have a complete vacation in a little over 24 hours. Also the prices of food and drinks are WAY below that of Las Vegas, so you can get more bang for your buck.
Here’s my view as I said goodbye! Just hope it’s not for long…
