City Birthday Celebration
It’s not a birthday without a pilgrimage, although in this case, mecca, is the El Pueblo Historical Monument. Begin the nine-mile route of Los Pobladores at the San Gabriel Mission and be rewarded with the gift of history when you arrive at the historic El Pueblo plaza.
While there doesn’t appear to be an official celebration for 2024, it’s still a great place to visit with an outdoor market that takes place daily beginning at 9 a.m.
The Hollywood Bowl
There are few more iconic places in this city than the Hollywood Bowl, so visit on Wednesday night for a concert with Trombone Shorty & Big Boi at 8 p.m. It might be the sounds of New Orleans, but it’s in the heart of Los Angeles. Tickets begin at $17 with this link.
Los Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers play the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim on September 4th, and it might be worth driving out there to witness this epic matchup. Tickets begin at $54 with this link.
