5 Nights to eat all of L.A.
As part of the Los Angeles Times Food Bowl’s entire month of eating, this week features five nights of FREE Night Market in Downtown Los Angeles. Expect dozens of food vendors, pop-up experiences, chef collabs, musical performances, art, and so much more!!! Plus on each night there will be themed ticketed areas that emphasize what ‘s considered the best of the Los Angeles dining right now!

Wednesday, May 8th: Collaboration Lab
Bavel meets Taco Maria; Kismet meets Ciya; Shibumi meets Spago…you get the idea. During the kick-off night enjoy collaborations by some of the best chefs in Los Angeles in the themed ticketed area of Night Market. There will also be tons of food trucks from such favorites as Teddy’s Red Tacos, Belly Bombz, Afters Ice-Cream, and dozens more!
Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday, May 9th: Taco Tribute
Like it or not Los Angeles is a taco town! Let LA Times Food Staff Writer Amy Scattergood take you from Sonoratown to Guerrilla Taco and every tostadito in between.

Friday May 10th: Fried Chicken Party
Feeling the fried chicken fomo lately? Enjoy favorites like Chef Kang’s Food Rehab for Super Foodies; The Crack Shack; Hotville Chicken; and more all hosted by LA Times Food Senior Staff Writer Jenn Harris.
Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday May 11th: LA’s Best Burgers + Dumplings, Noods, & Rice
It’s quite the toss-up between what defines L.A. more right now: the burger or the bowl. Luckily if you make it out to Night Market on Saturday, then you don’t have to choose!
Taste the best from HiHo Cheeseburger; NoMad; Porridge & Puffs; Baroo Canteen; Belcampo Meat Co. ; and so many more. Hosted by Jenn Harris and Lawrence Longo, this is one to make happen!
Hours are 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday May 12th: All-Star BBQ
Last but not least we cannot forget the surge of the backyard bbq movement and your chance to eat your way across the country in one afternoon! Must haves include food by Burt Bakman (Slab BBQ & Trudy’s Underground BBQ, California); Sam Jones (Skylight Inn & Sam Jones BBQ; North Carolina); Adam Perry Lang (APL, also California); Pat Martin (Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, Tennessee); and too many more to list! This one is hosted by Editor Peter Meehan and the LA Times Food team.
Hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
While the event is FREE to enter, each themed event described above is $75 for early bird tickets and $85 for regular.
Baby Bonus: Dogs & Kids are allowed, although not in the themed sections…bring a partner and tag team with the kiddos.
