Lose 10 Pounds Just by Reading this Post
It’s time to get healthy Los Angeles!
Follow my 5 Healthy tips and you just might lose 10 pounds by the time you get to number 1!
5. Chicas Tacos have been Veganized!
Organic…yes. Fresh…always. But now James Beard nominated Chef Eduardo Ruiz has taken it one step further and added Vegan to the menu! Enjoy a Jackfruit Taco on a corn tortilla with avocado cashew crema for $3.95 and a NUT FREE Vegan Queso crafted from vegetables and a lot of magic for $7.00.
In the mood for something sweet? The brand new Coconut Cream Horchata is so addictive you’ll enjoy it right down to the ice chips ($3.95).
4. Clover Juice is now Little West
Rebranded and named for their son West, founders Cassandra Troy Walker and Andrew will still be crafting some of your favorite cold-pressed juices, just with a different logo.
Along with the name change, the La Brea store also includes a curated retail wall of the couple’s favorite locally sourced brands and is serving food for the first time! Stop in for a Fresh Cold-Pressed Juice on the go, a carefully crafted Smoothie, or a Sweet Blue Coconut Butter Toast made with spirulina and topped with honey and bananas.
3. Little Pine is just plain awesome
100% of the profits go to animal welfare organizations and none of the guilt goes to you! Brunch at Moby’s Little Pine restaurant in Silverlake specializes in daily Vegan donut specials and egg dishes that will have you swearing it was just walking around outside.
Don’t believe me? Take one bite of the Breakfast Sandwich with house sausage, tofu, red onion, avocado, romesco, and grilled bread ($13) and you’ll find yourself ordering the Tofu Scramble too!
On the beverage side, it’s hard to resist the a tea menu with more than 30 options, but I’m still an old fashioned day drinking girl! Try a cocktail like their Watermelon mojito made with prosecco, watermelon, mint, ginger syrup, and lime juice ($13) or a Hibiscus Mimosa with prosecco, hibiscus flower, hibiscus syrup, and hibiscus tea ($12).
2. Move over Kombucha, it’s Detoxwater time!
For years you’ve been focused on your probiotics, but what about your prebiotics?! Ken Park created the Detoxwater brand after his mother s pumped him full of aloe filled drinks as a kid. After arriving at college he realized he overall health was lacking and that aloe was the missing ingredient.
The Original Flavor with Lychee Berry and Grape contains 350 mg of and is only 30 calories a bottle. It’s full of electrolytes, vitamins, and antioxidants and will have you glowing on the outside while you are radiating from within! Purchase a case online or pick them up at your local Ralph’s.
1. A little Collagen in your Coffee?
Cold brew coffee with MCT oil has been on the market for a while, but Bulletproof’s Brain Octane Oil will really get you zooming. Although the butter coffee and MCT Oil phenom has gained popularity from the ketogenic craze, I’m an eater of all things and a Bulletproof Cold Brew in the morning has me going hunger free until at least 1 PM!
Taking it one step further, the brand has added collagen protein to their drinks and bars so you can expect the highest level of amino acids, better skin and nails, no sugar, and no cravings!! Pick these products up online, CVS, Vitamin Shoppe, or a Bulletproof Café.
The things that fuels me are having a good food with my husband & son, spending time with them, having a good talk to my husband while watching our favorite movie together 😊
