1917 Wine Bar + Bistro

Start with a meal at the San Antonio Winery in Los Angeles. It was founded in 1917 and is the only winery in the Los Angeles area. Its restaurant, The 1917 Wine Bar + Bistro, is serving up an à la carte Brunch and Dinner from May 8th through the 12th. 

Menu highlights include everything from Crème Brûlée French Toast ($18) to Lasagna ($21), which are both available at Brunch depending on your mood. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., so don’t expect a late night. Reserve here.

Award-winning Chef Michael Reed is a master of California produce, and the menu at fine-dining Poppy & Seed makes it easy to eat your vegetables. For Mother’s Day, the restaurant will host a buffet with a Raw Bar, Omelette Station, and Complimentary Champagne for all the mothers.
The cost is $85 for adults and $45 for children. Children under 2 are FREE!

What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to eat at Steven Spielberg’s mother’s restaurant?

Although Leah Spielberg Adler is no longer with us, the kitchen stays true to her legacy. Come in and try favorites like the Brioche French Toast served with berry compote and powdered sugar ($16) and the Potato Latkes and Eggs served with three pancakes, two eggs any style, and house-made apple compote and sour cream ($18). Every mother will also receive a complimentary Rose.

Barra Santos (Cypress Park)

Portuguese restaurant Barra Santos is an intimate wine bar in Cypress Park that has extra-long hours on Sundays. The food menu builds gradually, with small plates like Alorena Olives ($6) and Iberico Ham ($14) and larger items like New Caledonia Prawns ($25) and Piri Piri Chicken ($21).

The restaurant is open from Noon to 10 p.m. on Mother’s Day. There are no reservations.
