Sunday Supper in Los Angeles is BACK!
The tradition of sitting down to a Sunday Supper, or Sunday roast, is about reuniting with family and friends around the table for some good eating after a long day of church-going. Sunday Supper in Los Angeles adds an extra layer to the ritual: a great deal! Here’s where to enjoy a deliciously rich Sunday meal that’s still light on the wallet. The Hollywood Roosevelt (Hollywood)
Sunday Supper is simple at Shirley Brasserie. It’s located in the former Nancy Silverton steakhouse space, The Barish, located at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. While Shirley Brasserie generally serves a French-inspired menu, on Sundays, it’s all about Fried Chicken and Champagne.
Choices include a half or full bird with prices ranging from $36 to $65, respectively. The biggest choice you’ll have to make is the Champagne you’ll be pairing it with. The Fried Chicken comes with sides like Potato Salad and Summer Pea Vegetable Slaw.
Valet parking is free for two hours if you dine at the restaurant.

The Georgian Room (Santa Monica)
The Georgian Room in Santa Monica is generally for adults swaying to a jazzy good time, but Sundays are reserved for a family vibe.
The prix-fixe menu on Spaghetti Sundays is classic Italian-American, complete with red tablecloths. Highlights include House-Made Garlic Bread, Caesar Salad, Spaghetti and Red Sauce, and your choice of Grandpa Tony’s Meatballs, Chicken Parm, and a New York Strip Steak, among other dishes. Finish it all up with Chocolate Chip Cookies or Brownies with Soft Serve. Wine Pairings are also available.
Spaghetti Sundays take place every Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. for $65 per adult and $35 for children 12 and under. Reserve via Resy.
Otium (DTLA) – Call to Confirm Sunday Supper
Otium from Chef Timothy Hollingsworth is offering a stunner of a Sunday Supper that’s as beautiful as the dining room. During the month of July, guests enjoyed a 3-course family-style meal with options like a Little Gem-Wedge Salad with bacon to start, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with hoe cake and mashed potatoes among other sides, and a Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.
Reservations can be made on Sevenrooms, and dinner begins at 4:30 p.m. Otium is adjacent to The Broad art museum and is a perfect way to round off an afternoon of culture. Call to confirm as this is a seasonal offering. The cost is $55 per person.
Fanny’s (Mid-City)
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to finally visit the Academy Museum, make it for Sunday.
Fanny’s restaurant, from Chef Alice Waters, is home to a weekly Sunday Supper with cinematically-themed dinners based on exhibitions in the Academy Museum’s gallery. The menu changes semi-often, but a few dishes based on The Godfather include A Pasta You Can’t Refuse and Sonny’s “Bada-Bing!” Ribs. You’ll also find Cocktails and Wines that match the motif. The menu is served à la carte.

Ocean Prime (Beverly Hills)
This restaurant takes up some major prime real estate in Beverly Hills on Wilshire Blvd and is a great spot for power lunches and stiff martinis. Sunday nights, though, are for Surf & Turf.
This specialty two-course menu includes your choice of French Onion Soup or one of their Salads to begin, and then an 8-oz Filet paired with either Shrimp Scampi, Oscar Styler Blue Crab, or Lobster Tail ($14 additional).
As if that’s not enough, your meal also includes sides like Truffle Mac & Cheese and Chophouse Corn, among others.
The price is $70 per person, and Ocean Prime is open from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sundays. Reservations can be made via OpenTable.
Little Dom’s (Los Feliz)
Little Dom’s is an Italian Los Feliz neighborhood gem, and for years, they’ve been keeping this historically slow night on fire with a Monday Night Supper.
The three-course menu changes weekly, and you can keep track of it here. A sample meal could include Grilled Peach and Pickled French Beans Salad to begin, followed up with Spinach Ziti, and finished with a Whipped Mascarpone with market berries and honey.
So what’s the cost of such a feast? Just a cool $25 per person. You can also add on bottles of Wine ($25) or Peroni ($5).
