Takami: Take Two
Two of my favorite things in the world are superior lighting and fantastic atmosphere-so when I got the chance to go to Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant in Downtown LA for the second time in a month, I jumped on it!
This time I made it my mission to eat all new things, although the Lobster Roll ordered by my fiancé was too delicious to let him eat it all on his own. I think one repeat menu favorite can be forgiven 🙂
At Takami everything comes out as it is prepared so to begin the meal I sampled the Sliced Duck Breast Specialty Dish which I had ordered as an “entrée”. Takami is perfect for sharing and the portion sizes welcome the ordering of many dishes.
Quickly following that came a very generous portion of spicy tuna on crispy rice. There was so much tuna that I was able to make two crispy rice bites for every one that was served.
My fiancé ordered the Sliced Chicken Teriyaki and the lobster roll-and as I mentioned before he help finishing said roll.
The pace of the dinner was perfect for enjoying a gorgeous sunset over downtown LA.
Be sure to enjoy your dinner on the outdoor patio if you have the chance; the view is almost as good as the food.
