Ready to start booking? I’ve got my favorites from each neighborhood plus the DEALS OF THE SEASON at the end of this round-up!
Beverly Hills
The Hideaway
This Mexican steakhouse is serving up one of the best offers you’ll ever find on Rodeo Drive. For just $25, you can enjoy a 4-course meal beginning with individual Guacamole before moving on to a selection of items like Corn Empanadas, Crispy Sea Bream Baja Fish Tacos, and Flan with Añejo Tequila for Dessert. Get more details here.
The Blvd
Dinner at The Beverly Wilshire for less than $100? Yes, it’s possible. The Blvd restaurant is offering a 3-course meal for $65 that includes offerings like a Marinated Tuna Starter, Braised Short Rib as a Main, and Chocolate Souffle for Dessert. Reserve here.
Downtown LA
Sugarfish
You can find a Sugarfish almost anywhere in Los Angeles, but for some reason, only the DTLA location is participating in Summer Dine LA this year. It’s still one of my favorites, though, because you can enjoy the $35 pricing at both lunch and dinner. The menu features 16 pieces of sushi, including Toro and Blue Crab, and an Edamame Starter.
The Factory Kitchen
Always a favorite at only $35 for Lunch and $55 for Dinner, this Michelin Bib Gourmand is your home for Italian delicacies such as Grilled Cuttlefish Filet in Lingurian Olive Oil Starter and Pan-Roasted Quail with Raisins and Polenta as a Main. During Dinner, you can enjoy a Dessert course for $20 more, a Pistachio-infused Italian-style cheesecake. Learn more here.
H&H Brazilian Steakhouse
Fancy a night out? Well, this is Dinner and a show. Enjoy a 3-course meal including the entire Salad Bar plus your choice of Picanha or Chicken served by gauchos with all the Sides plus the signature Pineapple Dessert for just $45. Dinner is regularly $70, and while you can gorge on endless meats, you usually are full after just one swordful. Reserve here for DTLA or Beverly Hills.
Glassell Park
Wife and the Somm
This French-inspired restaurant is serving a 5-course meal disguised as a 3-course for $55. It begins with an undisclosed Amuse Bouche before moving on to a scallop crudo or Farmers Market Greens. Menu highlights also include Calabrian Chile-rubbed Grilled Prawns and Mary’s Duck Breast with Taro Puree. The meal ends with Complimentary Sweets, and there is an optional Wine Pairing—which, with a name like Wife and the Somm, you are almost obligated to try. Reserve on their website.
Hollywood
L’ Antica Pizzeria da Michele
I can never get enough of this place! And at $25 for Lunch or $65 for Dinner, there are a lot of different ways to enjoy this spot. Lunch is simple: You’ve got a Panino and a Gelato plus a Peroni or Non-Alcoholic Beverage for $25. During Dinner, you need a minimum of two guests to enjoy a family-style meal with platters of Antipasto Misto, Pizza Al Formaggi or Lasagna Bolognese, and a Dessert Board. See more details here.
Yamashiro
Yamashiro, located high on top of Hollywood, features a $65 4-course dinner in a spectacular setting.
Menu highlights include the Yellowtail Serrano Sashimi, Main dishes like the Chilean Sea Bass or Prime New York, and a Miso Caramel Rice Pudding for Dessert. The Sea Bass is $59 on its own, so you’re really getting a deal with Dine LA. Details here.
West Hollywood
Connie & Ted’s
Connie & Ted’s has always had one of my favorite lunch specials; it’s just gotten a little more expensive. For $35, you can enjoy a 3-course lunch deal, with items like a Bowl of Jo’s Wicked Good Chowda’ or a 1/2 Dozen Oysters before diving into a Deep Fried Cod Fish Sandwich or a Hook Burger. Dessert is a Seasonal Cookie that is always fresh out of the oven. Dinner is $20 more but includes more options like a Lobster Roll.
Gracias Madre
The $25 menu at this vegan Mexican favorite is a serious lunch-hour upgrade. Enjoy Guacamole and Chips sampling a Ceviche or Queso Fundido. Next, you’ve got choices like Gorditas Chicharron or a Taco Duo to pair with one of their sizzling Non-Alcoholic Beverages, such as a Horchata or agua fresca. You can also be a little diablo and upgrade to a Margarita for $10 more.
Deals of the Season
Brentwood
Teleferic Barcelona
When the Entree is almost the cost of the entire meal, you know you’ve found a reason to Dine LA. Teleferic Barcelona is offering the same $55 menu at both Lunch and Dinner, but it’s the best of the restaurant. Begin with assorted Tapas like Crab Croquettes and Patatas Bravas, among many others. Next, you’ll enjoy a Paella Mixta with pork, chicken, shrimp, and octopus. Dessert is Nutella Churros.
DTLA
Grand Central Market
During Summer Dine LA, most of Grand Central Market is just $15 for both Lunch and Dinner. Enjoy a Sammie and side at Lucky Bird, a See’s Candies Ice Cream Flight at McConnell’s, and a Sliced Brisket Sandwich with side at Maple Block Meat Co. No reservations are necessary.
Santa Monica
Uovo
I love a place that pumps their signature dishes for a discount; and that’s just what Uovo is offering with their $25 2-course Lunch. Begin with an Insalata di Arugula & Mizuna before enjoying a Tonarelli Pasta Pomodoro with 24-month-old Parmigiano-Reggiano. Dinner is $45 for three courses, and instead of the Pomodoro, you’ll be enjoying a Tagliatelle in Truffle Sauce and a Tiramisu for Dessert.
