It’s been 22 years since the release of the Good Burger movie but even if you’re not a fan of the antics of Kenan Thompson and Kel Williams, you can definitely get on board with some good burgers from Executive Chef Alvin Cailan of Eggslut!

What to Expect

The former Saved by the Max pop-up space on Santa Monica blvd has been transformed to resemble the Good Burger restaurant that you might remember from the film or the All That television sketch-show that ran in the ’90s on Nickelodeon. Coincidentally, that same show is currently having its 2019 redux.

While I personally feel the team behind Saved by the Max put slightly less effort into the Good Burger space, there are plenty of selfie spots including a chance to take a dip in the “strawberry jacuzzi”. And there’s a fun All That game room to keep you entertained while you’re waiting for your food.

What to Eat

The menu is simple! Good Burgers of course; Good Chunks (Chicken Strips), the Good Wich (which is Good Chunks on a Sandwich); and the Beyond Good Burger (because this is Los Angeles after all).

Good Sides include your choice of Good Fries, Good Pickles, Good Rings, and a Good Salad (and if you order the good salad, then good for you :))

In addition, you can add Desserts like Good Shakes, Pies, and Cookies or some adult goodness like Frozen Cocktails or Boozy Shakes.

What makes it Special

While I might have preferred the presentation and nostalgia of Saved by the Max; the food at Good Burger is hands-down better. And the Ed’s Sauce dripping off the burgers will have you asking for seconds and begging for the recipe!
