Where to get Fresh Röckenwagner Baked Goods
Wonder where to get fresh Röckenwagner baked goods? Well I was wondering that too, after the Café Röckenwagner shuttered it’s Brentwood doors.
Read the full review below if you want to see what the chef is really capable of! Or if you’re just after those delicious baked goods, I want to steer you over to your local farmer’s market.
Just this week Chef Hans Röckenwagner has opened his newest restaurant-Café Röckenwagner-at the new BW Building in Brentwood and has created a place where you can get your almond croissant in the morning and your avocado crostini at night.
Here is a look at my top picks from 7:30 AM-10 PM…not necessarily in that order 🙂
A 3 Square Meal Cocktail: Blend of Soju, Ginger Beer, and Lime
A look at the Bakery Side, with pastries created by famed pastry chef Cesar Bermudez Cifuentes of The Bazaar by José Andrés.
The Avocado Crostini
Soy Glazed Octopus with a drizzle of basil oil
Shrimp Salad
Roasted Vegetable Salad
Breakfast for Dinner–served at all times
Mussels with chorizo
Orzo Pasta
Short Rib-perfected just last week
Desserts: too many good ones to choose a favorite, but I am partial to Budinos…
To quote Chef Röckenwagner himself, “he did not set out to reinvent the culinary pantheon, but to serve good honest food at a good value”.
Café Röckenwagner is that Modern City Bistro that just might transform the landscape of the Wilshire/Barrington Corner.
